My Muse
My muse chooses differing views
of writing styles and meter,
believing rhymes in perfect time
couldn't be much sweeter..
But free verse, he'll often curse
with dislike and much gall..
In his mind, cute words combined
ain't poetry at all..
Unless of course, at its source,
there's meter in the rhyming..
For cute words are much preferred
to have a little timing..
