For the first time in 100 years, both Chicago teams made it into the Major League Baseball playoffs... Well growing up in Chicago, this is certainly an historic moment! I watched both teams work the season, and you can be sure - the fever is most certainly starting here in Chicago!!!

Is it possible, the Cubs' curse to be broken? Yes, I think this can be the year... (the guy who caught that foul ball was shipped out of town)... I was in Vegas in March and the Cubs were a 3:1 favorite to win the NL - and I simply couldn't believe it. Well, maybe those guys know something we don't - they certainly got the odds going in their favor! The Cubs certainly have what it takes this year! Mark Cuban, your price may have just gone up...

And what about the Sox... come back to win two clutch games! Bottom line, this is a major celebration for Chicago and what better way to cap a fantastic year than to see the Windy City Classic in Primetime... that's right - Chicago will party like 1999 when we see World Series come to town... and you can bet that party will go the distance!

My prediction - we will see Chicago united like never before in the midst of divide! Baseball sees the rift between north and south emerge in a way that cannot be understood unless you have grown up in Chicago... Neighbor against Neighbor like no other time of the year... but on Sunday, both unite to root on the Bears!!! Rest assured, we are sure to see some great sporting entertainment.

So, how many cubs' fans out there? How many sox fans? Any predictions from the Slungle community about this time in sporting history? Share your thoughts...

It is Saturday, 2 outs top of the 9th and I cannot believe my eyes.... It would seem as though I have to eat my crow and swallow my pride... My endeared Chicago Cubs have just lost, and I am left speechless and in awe of how this tremendous 97 win season that propelled the Cubs to the top of the National League meant nothing in the end....

My regards to my Los Angeles friends, but I rest in the fact that you will never have a ballpark that even comes close to the caliber of Wrigley Field.... A sunny summer day at Wrigley is most certainly a day to remember, regardless....

I hope I don't have to write again tomorrow when the White Sox once again step on the field... please remeber to pray...!

Well.... I always believe in hope, and your words inspried me... I started thinking - yeah, there's always heaven! Surely the Cubs would have to be God's favorite.... then I remembered your stinking team called the Angels... so much for heavenly hope...
